What insurance can be added to a rental covered with Omocom?

Updated yesterday

When renting a motorhome or caravan through MyCamper, insurance is automatically provided via Omocom for vehicles registered in Sweden, Norway, Finland, or Denmark (if the owner has not set to cover with his own comprehensive insurance).

Omocom offers comprehensive coverage tailored for peer-to-peer rentals.

🛡️ Included Insurance Coverage

Omocom's insurance covers damages, theft, or loss occurring within the EEA and the United Kingdom during the rental period. It complements the vehicle's mandatory traffic insurance by covering areas not typically included, such as:

  • Damage to the vehicle and its equipment

  • Theft or loss of the vehicle

  • Roadside assistance throughout Europe

  • Deductible costs from the owner's primary insurance if applicable

This insurance is automatically activated at the start of the rental and requires no additional action from the owner or renter.

➕ Optional Insurance Add-ons

Renters have the option to enhance their coverage with the following add-ons:

Misfortune Insurance

This optional insurance covers specific incidents inside the rented vehicle, including:

  • Interior damage (up to €5,000)

  • Loss of or damage to keys (up to €1,000)

  • Misfuelling and associated tank cleaning costs (up to €5,000)

  • Damage to personal property within the vehicle (up to €1,000)

Note: The availability of Misfortune Insurance is determined by the vehicle owner. If the owner has set it as mandatory, it will be indicated in the vehicle's listing.
