The Base insurance is included in every booking by default. You can add optional coverage to tailor the protection to your needs.
Base Insurance (included in every booking)
The Base insurance covers:
- Comprehensive cover (deductible varies by country, see table below)
- Roadside assistance, including towing, battery jumpstart, flat tire change, lockout assistance and minor repairs
- Misfortune coverage (e.g. interior damage, key loss, misfuelling)
- Emergency transportation
- Reimbursement of repair delay
- Recourse protection (Denmark, Germany, Austria)

Available add-ons (optional)
You can add any of the following options to your booking before the rental starts:
- Deductible Reduction:
Lowers the deductible significantly (e.g. to EUR 500 in Germany, Finland and Austria, or SEK 5,000 in Sweden). The exact reduced amount depends on your country and vehicle type.
- Cancellation insurance:
Covers cancellation costs if you need to cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury. Available as a standalone add-on.
- Young driver insurance:
Additional coverage required for drivers under 25.
- Travel abroad insurance:
Extends your coverage for trips taken outside the country where the vehicle is registered.
