The short version
You decide what you want to earn. The amount you enter is the amount you earn.
We do not deduct our service fee from your rental income. We add it on top, and the renter pays the total.
If your vehicle is insured through MyCamper's platform insurance, an insurance premium is added to the booking as well. Renters can also choose optional cover. None of these premiums are deducted from your rental income.
In some countries a deposit transaction fee applies. That is the only thing deducted from your payout.

The same fee, two very different numbers
Because the fee is added on top rather than taken out, it can be described in two ways, and the two numbers look far apart even though they describe the same fee.
Measured against what the renter pays, the fee is one number. Measured against what you earn, it is a larger one. Neither is more correct than the other; they simply have different starting points. Your country's article shows both, side by side, on a real booking.
Not every part of a booking carries the same fee
A booking is usually made up of several parts, and they are not all treated the same way.
Your rental price, your handover fee and add-on equipment all carry the full service fee. Add-on services such as final cleaning carry a reduced fee. Extra charges settled after the trip, such as extra kilometres, refuelling or damage, carry no service fee at all. The deposit carries no service fee either.
Because of the reduced and zero-fee parts, the fee across a whole booking usually works out below the full service fee percentage.
What differs by country
The service fee percentage. It is set per country. Your country's article states it.
How insurance is priced. For vehicles in Switzerland the premium depends on the type of vehicle and on your rental income for the booking, read from a table of brackets. For vehicles in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Austria the premium is a fixed amount per night, based on the type of vehicle and its market value, and it does not scale with your rental price.
