When owners list their vehicle on MyCamper, they are committing to making it available for the bookings they accept. Selling the vehicle breaks that commitment.
If owners sell their camper and then contact us to cancel upcoming bookings, renters are left stranded, often with trips already planned. This is not acceptable and is preventable. If you're thinking about selling your vehicle, remove your listing first from MyCamper.
The impact on renters:
When a booking is cancelled because the owner sold the vehicle, the renter doesn't just lose the camper — they often lose their entire trip. Finding a replacement vehicle on short notice is difficult, especially during peak season. Many renters have already booked campsites, ferries, or taken time off work.
What to do if you want to sell:
Deactivate your listing first. Go to My Listings, select the vehicle, and click Deactivate Listing. This stops new bookings immediately.
Fulfill any existing bookings before completing the sale. You accepted those bookings — the renters are counting on you.
Only then put the vehicle up for sale.
