What to do if the vehicle is not in the good condition at pickup

Modified on Mon, 17 Feb at 11:03 PM

Picking up a rental vehicle should be a smooth experience, but if the camper is not in the expected condition, take the following steps to address the issue properly.

First, go through the check-in process thoroughly with the owner. Inspect the exterior and interior carefully for any visible damage and ensure all essential equipment, such as kitchen appliances, bedding, AC, heating, and water systems, are functional. Any issues should be documented in the check-in process on the MyCamper platform and acknowledged by the owner.

If damages or missing equipment make the rental unsafe, discuss the situation with the owner to determine whether repairs are possible. If the vehicle is deemed unsafe and cannot be fixed, you and the owner may agree to cancel the rental. In this case, do not proceed with check-in.

Contact MyCamper Support to organize the cancellation, ensuring both the owner and renter are included in the communication. Provide details, photos, and documentation of the issue so MyCamper can assist.
