What happens if my booking request is rejected or expires?

Updated yesterday

If your booking request is rejected or expires, we encourage you to search for another available camping vehicle.

You may also consider reaching out to the vehicle owner to check for availability or discuss alternative dates. If you'd like to book the same vehicle again, you'll need to contact the owner and request that they unblock the dates on their availability calendar. Please note that if a booking expires, the dates are automatically blocked on the owner's calendar, which is why you're unable to rebook the vehicle immediately.

Payment and Refund Process

Submitting a booking request is always free, but renters must make a down payment when placing a request. This amount is temporarily blocked on your credit card.

If the owner accepts the request, the booking becomes binding, and the payment is processed.

If the owner does not respond or rejects the request, the blocked amount will be released automatically. Depending on your bank, it may take a few days for the funds to be available again.

No Cost for Rejected or Expired Requests

While a down payment is required to submit a request, you are not charged if the request is rejected or expires. The funds are simply unblocked, and you can search for another vehicle.

Tip: Check Owner Response Time & Acceptance Rate

Before making a booking request, you can view details such as the owner’s average response time and acceptance rate on the vehicle profile. This can help you choose owners who are more likely to respond quickly and approve your request.
